Getting Branding
Strategy Results
Your success will be
connected to these three
branding strategy result areas
What results are you getting from your
current brand marketing?
You want to sell your product or service. Operating a business is that
simple – sell products and services to make a profit. Your branding strategy
results are the only thing that
really matters. Branding is about generating profits not looking pretty or
having a memorable name. Selling is the name of the game!
Your branding strategy plays a key role in the marketing process by
positioning your brand against the competition. Positioning is one of the
key branding strategy results you must work for everyday. To position your brand
properly you need to identify the key attributes or benefits that represent
the value of your product or service. Successfully positioning your brand
produces three key results that lead to sales and eventual consumer
loyalty.
These three key branding strategy result areas are: awareness, knowledge, and trust.
-
Awareness
To purchase from you,
the prospect must first know you. Many small businesses fail to realize that
without knowledge of your existence, business cannot be transacted. They
believe that because they have a product or service that the clients and
customers will beat down their doors to get what they offer. Without brand
awareness all other marketing efforts are just a waste of time and money.
-
Knowledge
Once you have
established awareness, prospects must then understand what you do. This is
not as easy as it appears. Many small businesses lack a clear marketing
message that communicates their benefits. Creating informed, knowledgeable
prospects requires education through repeated exposure to a compelling
marketing message. Without knowledge, your prospects will not take action
and simply dismiss your offering as not worthy of consideration.
-
Trust
Trust is the primary
goal of any successful branding strategy. When you attain a level of trust
in the prospects mind they know who you are, they understand the value of
your product or service, and they recognize the benefits you offer to solve
their problem or improve their situation. This is where relationships are
built and where sales are initiated.
Without achieving these branding strategy results the chances of building a
successful business are very slim. Many owners only focus on building
awareness, believing that it alone will generate sales. The phrase, ‘I just
need to get my name out there’ is a mistaken belief among a large number of
small businesses. They fail to recognize that they must also educate and
build trust to get the prospect to act in their favor.
Without knowledge and trust prospects don’t have enough reasons to reach a
point where they are comfortable making a purchase. They still have doubts
and perceived risks too great to spend their money. Every small business
must make every effort to attain all three branding results to make the
prospects comfortable with their decision to purchase.
These three key results must be ingrained into your branding strategy and be
consistently reinforced at every opportunity.
